answers to letters from home

These are letters that answer questions that we asked in letters. I asked him if there was much success with invitation Sunday. Evidently not!

The next in the saga of Connor's mission

These are very easy to read if you click on them. It is fun to see Connor growing and having experiences in the priesthood! We are very greatful that he is going to "try to miss us"

Cortney at homecoming

This is Cortney and Taylor at Homecoming. They were very cute and had a great time. They went in the afternoon to see "Where the Wild Things Are" and then went to Spaghetti Factory. She looks so cute and was lucky to find a dress that fit her!

Family pictures

This is a one of the attempts at family pictures from this summer.

The address

I keep forgetting to put his address he can only do snail mail so please write to him!

Elder Holmstead
620 Everson Rd #A
Everson, WA 98247

The letter itself...

I will type the letter too because I think that it is hard to read.
The russian part of town
We went tracting up in a town called Maple Falls. Three houses into it we learned that the geighborhood was devoted to citizens of Russian origin, cause no one spoke english-everyone spoke russian. (we decided to keep going anyway)
Couple more houses and we ren into a guy named Sergey. He spoke a little bit of english but still had his teenage son translate. We got a return appointment from him and went on our way. The next door we went to, we were invited inside, but little to our knowledge it was only to bible bash. And it came to pass that he argued that we can not recieve personal revelation through prayer. We asked him if we could read a scripture with him. (FROM THE BIBLE HE READS EVERY DAY) He welcomed us to do so, and we opened to James 1:5. After reading this scripture we were invited to leave.
The end
This tab is blue!

Elder Robertson gave up drinking soda, and you can tell he isn't happy about it.

connors letter

I wanted to just scan and post Connor's letters in his handwriting but I am not smart enough to figure that out. Byron will have to figure that out for me in a few days. Connor is in an area where he only has access to snail mail so I will just post his letters to share with everyone!
He sent different pages with the topics labled at the top of the page!
Thrice the Priestood Power
I got my second companior a couple of days ago, so now we are traveling in something called a "Three pack" The morning training models are alot easier, but when we go tracting it seems like just way too many people. We tried it where one of us stands off around the corner of the house to make it see right but then we were actually invited inside the house, leaving our trainer outside. Don't worry though because with our combined minds we got through a whole lesson MIRACULOUSLY! (The Holy Ghost helped us) When we got back ourside Elder Robertson ask us how it went, and they want us to come back again when the whole family was there.
Food Stories
Now that I have my second companion (Elder Stayner) we will have to make more room for him ing he kitchen cupbords. We went shopping his second day our and I found that he likes cooking too. He knew how to use the "Formin Grill" So we made burgers! Elder Roberston does NOT like cooking. So he will have no part of that we are doing. Elder Stayner and I are going halfsies on alot of stuff like sugar, flouer, butter, etc. We cook alot. I taught him how to make german pancakes, and he made me jello. One of our investigators is a cook, and she said that she would give me the recipe for crepes (you should send me some good recipes just for kicks though... like chicken encheladas) Tonight we are using our waffle batter to experament with baking it... instead of using a waffle fryer.
